siginterpreting services interpreters in a business meeting

Do you employ or serve individuals who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing? We have an interpreter for you!

SIS provides American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters for the southeastern counties in Pennsylvania, all of Delaware and New Jersey and the northern counties in Maryland. If you need the services of an interpreter outside of the stated areas, please reach out to us for further assistance.  When a customer needs a sign language interpreter for communication access between deaf or hard of hearing people and hearing people, SIS works to secure the right interpreter for your specific needs.

In order to match the best interpreter with your needs, we look at specific variables including the language needs of the deaf consumer, the requirements of the setting and any background knowledge or specialized skills needed. Unlike spoken language companies who also offer ASL services, SIS specializes in sign language, a visual language that is uniquely different from spoken English.

When you work with SIS, you can be certain that we are a company who has the practical knowledge and the expertise to connect individuals who use sign language with those who use spoken English. We will always work with you in the most effective way possible.

AT SIS, WE GIVE YOU...

THE RIGHT TEAM

SIS deploys the right team for your interpreting needs. We analyze various factors to determine if a job requires more than 1 interpreter. If so, SIS determines if the Deaf consumer(s) will best be served by 2 hearing interpreters or by a hearing interpreter teaming with a Deaf interpreter.

THE RIGHT METHOD

SIS has interpreters to cover remote and onsite assignments. For remote needs, SIS offers a SISTR (SignInterpreting Services Tablet for Remote services). Please contact SIS staff for more information on this new opportunity.
